Arnolfini is also one of Europe’s leading centres for the contemporary arts. With a regularly changing programme involving exhibitions, cinema, live art and dance, and literature readings and lectures, the converted warehouse also contains one of the country’s best-known arts bookshops and a vibrant café bar designed by artist Bruce McLean. In summer 2006, the bar expanded its outdoor seating area and created a quayside bar and BBQ operating at the weekend.
