Tucked away between North Street and Priory Park (home of the annual Real Ale and Jazz Festival, held in the 2nd week of July), this is a Gale's pub with an emphasis on real ale and quality food. There are technically two bars, although the drinking area forms a kind of J shape all around. There is a pool table to the rear of the pub.
