The bar had a complete facelift in 2005, and now has a more up market and modern feel to it. It is set in an excellent position in a historical area of the Quayside, overlooking the Tyne. There is an outside seating at the front which affords a good view of the river, Tyne bridge and passing trains. The main bar area has a stone floor and a long narrow wooden bar.
