The welcome addition of real ale to this locals pub should make it attractive to the real ale drinker. In the middle of a terrace in one of the older parts of the city, the pub dates back to the 17th century. It has recently had a smart coat of paint and is very welcoming, whilst inside it is a simple place. Going into this pub is a bit like stepping back in time to a simpler era, when a pint and a chat constituted an hour well spent. Also has a good juke box.
