A beautiful 17th century stone inn situated at the end of a quiet country lane. The inn nestles beside the River Nene, with its boats and barges, and boasts extensive gardens. Inside, the pub has quarry-tiled and bare-boarded floors, heavy oak-beamed ceilings and interconnecting rooms. The pine furniture and open log fires in the winter months complete the rustic feel. Food is largely homemade, and there is an extensive wine list. Northamptonshire skittles are also played. Very popular with walkers.
