A sympathetically restored, 16th-century thatched country inn set back from the road behind a grassed area with flower beds and outdoor furniture. The interior, candlelit in the evenings, features exposed beams, a large inglenook fireplace, wooden floors, and antique furniture. The pub backs onto the River Lark, and was formerly the site of a coal yard and a maltings. Recently (2006) changed hands.
