This is an old inn on the fork of the Staple Hill and Downend roads up from Fishponds. In early 2006, it had a lick of paint and now has 12 ales and 5 premium lagers available. Where there had been two bars, there is now just the one. The decor has a bright, well-lit feel, with wooden flooring and a deal of mixed furniture. There is an award-winning chef, while the music is a mixture of old reggae trad and modern jazz rhythm & blues. Music on Sunday nights from 8.
