Named after Alexandra, Edward VII's Queen, and completely refurbished in late 2004. This is now a friendly and welcoming pub with a beautiful slate bar, stripped floorboards and a roaring real fire. Beer is offered straight from the barrel. There are Shove Ha'penny competitions, Open Mic nights on Wednesdays, Quiz Nights every Thursday and Live Music every Sunday from 4-7pm. An addition in November 2005 was the cellar restaurant, offering home cooked, traditional English fare.
