Smugglers reputedly used the tunnel believed to connect the cellars of this 13th-century pub to the dungeons of Restormel Castle, a short way up the River Fowey. Situated in the old capital of Cornwall, set in stunning surroundings in the heart of a beautiful valley. The restaurant offers a wide range of traditional meals prepared and cooked to order using only local Cornish produce. There is also accommodation available, with six en-suite rooms refurbished in 2006. In the bar, there is an ever-changing selection of up to five guest beers.
