Managing to retain that traditional pub feel with low wooden beams, stone interior walls and a blazing log fire, Franky and Michelle Teissier welcome customers with their extensive menu comprising the highest quality British, Mediterranean and rustic French cooking. Franky is a classically trained French chef and fresh fish and seafood come from nearby Sidmouth with menus changing according to what's in season and what local produce is available.

Customers are equally at home dropping in for a pint of locally brewed Otter ale, ordering a home made steak and ale pie after a hard day’s walking or relaxing al fresco with moules marinieres and a cold glass of chablis!

The real ales at the pub are Cask Marque awarded as being well kept and include BASS, OTTER ALE, LONDON PRIDE and GREENE KING IPA.

Well behaved children are welcome in the dining areas and dogs on a lead are welcomed in the beer garden and terrace area
