Busy, friendly local pub. Beautiful hill top location, overlooking surrounding countryside. Excellent real ales. Inexpensive meals of reasonable quality. Recently taken over by new landlord who has renovated/redecorated but retained most things generally as before. The main change is the installation of inescapable, wall-to-wall, piped music (previously the pub had some music-free areas - no longer the case, sadly). Open until midnight most days. Food to 9pm most days (8pm Sun).
