In the 19th century, the author Harrison Ainsworth - who wrote 'Rookwood', the book immortalising Dick Turpin - was a regular at The Dolphin. Great food, real ales, the kind of wine we’d give to friends at home and most of all a genuinely warm welcome. Classic Beef & Ale Pie, Sausages with Cheddar Mash, Fish & Chips and hearty Sunday roasts are just some of the traditional favourites on our menu. Our aim is to do the simple things well – and make sure you leave determined to come back again.
