Home of the 'Spinning Dog' micro-brewery. The Bar is actually a scaled down model of an old sailing ship/galleon (the Victory ?). The brewery attached to the side and rear of the pub is currently undergoing expansion with the new building actually being built around the old one. The current equipment is a 4 barrel plant. They also brew Flannery's Beers following its closure. And why the name ... 'Spinning Dog' ... well you just wait until you see the resident pub dog 'Cassie', and you'll know why ! The rooms are very long and narrow with a mixture of clientele of all ages and walks of life. The very tasty Sunday lunches are literally HUGE with an unbelievable amount of vegetables all for £4.75.
