Very popular pub with locals and shoppers at the nearby provisions market. Pleasantly decorated single 'U' shaped room with upholstered bench seating, and wooden tables and chairs. A mix of rough-plastered and bare stone walls, which are covered with prints of Carmarthen historical scenes, caricatures, and prints. One wall has a huge 6ft x 4ft Bass mirror that has the pubs name engraved on it. Up until March 1st 2002, it was a Tomos Watkin pub, but has now been taken back over by Coors. Please note the early opening on Wednesdays & Saturdays - Market days in Carmarthen. Guest Beer on the day of this survey was a delicious pint of Ridley's 'Rumpus' ! Appeared in the 2001 Camra 'Good Beer Guide' (page 396).
