This friendly local with Victorian-style decor was actually only converted from a shop in 1990. Always a good choice of real ales, with Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Boddingtons and Coach House Gunpowder Mild being fixtures, with five other handpumps serving guest beers (44 guests in Febuary 2002 I'm informed). Pay & Display car park opposite is free after office hours.
