Alston is an attractive market town - the highest in England. Situated in the middle of the Cumbrian moors on the border with Northumberland. The Victoria is on the cobbled main street in a tall Victorian building. The single bar is surprisingly small with a pool table in an adjoining room. Food is served during lunchtimes and in the evening. No cask ales available.
