Home of the award winning Bryn Celyn (Holly Hill) Brewery which opened in the pub's cellar in 1999. Used to sell Guest Beers but now 100% Bryncelyn Beers... all of which have a Buddy Holly 'theme'. The Bar, which is heated by an old wood burning stove, has quite a mixture of Bric a Brac - or maybe that should be 'BRICK a brac' - as amongst its collections of matchbooks and boxes (thousands!) and mining implements, carpenters' tools, beer mats, bar towels and domestic curios, they even have a collection of BRICKS around the room. The lounge is quite 'tame' in comparison but comfortable. 1960's music is constantly being played in the background. Excellent Beers here and well worth the effort to seek it out. 'Phone first about opening times though.
