A great little central boozer rumoured to be an overspill Council Chamber from the nearby Town Hall. At any time of the day this is a good friendly place to come with equally good beers on offer too. The food is good quality traditional English from 11am-2pm. There are occasional mini beer festivals. On sunny days the pub spreads out onto the street and the crowd mingle with drinkers from The Vine next door - and this being in Manchester's Half Square Mile, the crowd are all wearing blue or grey suits.
