Giving good service to locals and passing trade alike, the pub has a long history as the centre of the community, being used for local functions and, until 1839, as the local courtroom (still intact upstairs complete with magistrates' box and prisoner's dock), but is now used as a restaurant at busy times. Wide selection of meals, and an ever-changing guest beer usually from independent brewers. Also has handpulled Addlestone's cloudy cider, a rarity in these parts and proving to be popular.
